![]() You also have to act as your own FOO (forward observer) when calling down artillery, as opposed to simply indicating a target to an AI FOO. It does not simulate the role of your company commander you can step into that role 'in mission' and generate new orders for your side from the map screen, IIRC. It doesn't have campaigns as such (just some mission sets) and there's no role-playing or crew management (unlike M1TP2 for instance). SB (either version) is an extremely authentic simulator of the M1A1 and Leo 2 (some other vehicles are playable in the newer version). Try your old copy again if you have an old machine, typically up to Windows XP apart from graphics, it's still the same sim at heart. The original SB won't play on modern systems which generally can't run in the low resolution and colour depth SB uses. ![]() The current SB (Pro PE) is much more expensive. From the single-player perspective, here's my potted comparison. I played the original SB (the one with the very basic graphics).
